The Montreal Science Centre is offering I Spy Montreal readers the chance to win tickets to the “green carpet” premiere of its new IMAX film The Last Reef 3D. Four pairs of tickets are up for grabs!
The film, which launches Feb. 28, promises to plunge viewers into underwater cities, bringing them face to face with ocean creatures great and small. There’s also an environmental message here about the growing effect of ocean acidification on coral reefs.
The Last Reef 3D premiere will be held Wednesday, March 7 at 7:55 p.m. at the Montreal Science Centre’s IMAX theatre in the Old Port. The event falls during March break week, so it’s not on a school night!
The film lasts around 50 minutes and looks best for at least age five and up; the footage is amazing, but in 3D could be intense for young viewers. To get a sense of the imagery, watch the trailer below.
