Babies and toddlers typically love splashing in the water. Indoor swimming pools provide a nice break for parents, too — especially in the winter. There’s no wading pool, but the family pool has beach-style shallow end that deepens gradually. Even babies can sit and splash safely. It’s also heated, so it feels a bit like sitting in a warm bath. There’s also a mini slide for toddlers in the shallow end, as well as a water fountain. There are slides for bigger kids in the deeper end of the pool.

In Sept. 2010, a new 25-metre pool and fully accessible wading pool were built at this Ontario St. community centre (see photo above). The wading pool has some water jets, and is open for public use during free swim hours.
