As of March 26, The Biodôme and Insectarium have closed due to a labour dispute, but The Montreal Botanical Gardens and the Planetarium remain open.
So, despite the closures, the Butterflies Go Free event at the Botanical Gardens is still a weekend activity option (it runs till April 25). Thanks to an alert reader for the timely tipoff!

sadly, this does not help me as i came all the way from nz to see the biodome and insectarium, unaware of its closure, and have had to fill in a week ….
