Getting errands done – or shopping of any kind – can be a nightmare with kids. And that’s when it’s NOT Halloween.

If you do have to hit a mall or shopping centre this Saturday, it’s good to know that Quartier Dix30 will be offering special Halloween activities for kids. Although this Montreal mall is all outdoors, it holds lots of seasonal activities for children.

We were there last week and caught part of a pumpkin-decorating workshop, which was cleverly set up under a tent. Animators were helping kids paint, decorate and carve pumpkins using stencils.

On Saturday, Oct. 31., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., there will be another Halloween activity, including:

Mr. and Mrs. Count Dracula
Frankenstein and Esmerelda the witch
Free face-painting at Place Extasia
175 varieties of candy and distribution of DIX30 caramel corn

Not that kids really need more candy on the day of Halloween. But, if you have to get something done, the activities offered could make it a little easier.
